ENERGY

ENERGYis a full-vehicle simulation software package designed to assist with strategic planning, competitive assessments, and product target establishment. ENERGYembeds competitive vehicle metrics, fleet build capability, and regulatory analysis into a single, easy-to-use, cloud-based application.

ENERGY seamlessly integrates multiple functions and allows users to:

  • Create any light-duty vehicle and powertrain combination and generate fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, and acceleration performance results instantly.

  • Utilize an extensive library of vehicle and powertrain attributes allowing users to “auto-fill” over 100 variables with plausible values if they are not known; everything from vehicle dimensions, to mass, to tire size, to engine idle speed.

  • Acquire real time results that provides data for all key drive cycles and for all weight and road load standards.

  • Develop vehicle fleet simulations and enjoy real-time results for CAFE, CO2 emissions debits and credits, CO2 excess emission fines and many other parameters for multiple global markets all based on integrated fuel economy and greenhouse regulations.

  • Access integrated competitive data allowing comparisons to thousands of vehicles.

  • Produce built-in, presentation quality charts and tables to provide immediate visualization of results.

  • Promote enterprise-wide sharing of results and scenarios through 24/7 global access to our secure, cloud-based solution.

VPaC, Vehicle Performance & Compliance Monitor

VPaC is our joint venture product with IHS-Markit. VPaC combines the IHS-Markit automotive forecasts with Novation Analytics’ projections (using ENERGY) for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, acceleration performance, and regulatory compliance. VPaC is a cloud-based web portal providing access to a twelve-year forecast for CO2 emissions, fuel consumption and acceleration performance.  From visualizing how an OEM’s fleet will evolve in terms of CO2 performance, to judging who is likely to strike the critical balance between performance and emissions across brands, VPaC gives OEMs and suppliers insight into vehicle performance and compliance for the entire market. Novation Analytics provides software solutions, data analysis, and advisory services, focusing on vehicle energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions. Our passions are engineering, data, and software. Our mission is to combine the three and provide tools and services to empower our clients.

Novation Analytics was born of a simple idea: That data (lots of data), decomposed using engineering fundamentals and statistics, could significantly enhance the processes by which products are developed and brought to market.

Only a fraction of the vehicle and powertrain test data generated through the research, development, and certification processes is used for purposes other than the original intent. Our novel approach employs both systems engineering and advanced statistics to leverage this seemingly disparate data for other uses, including strategic planning.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES: Our products empower clients to more efficiently develop strategic plans, conduct regulatory analysis, and generate competitive assessments. We are leading the way in disruptive predictive technology with our ENERGY™ software; an industry first, providing full-vehicle simulation and competitive and regulatory analysis for product planners, engineers and regulators. Our clients include stakeholders within the light vehicle sector that range from manufacturers and consultants to suppliers and government agencies.
